Abstract
The paper explores the role and responsibilities of HR-PMO (Human Resources – Project Management Office) managers in the Project Management Unit (PMO) in the public sector. The aim of the paper is to analyze key aspects of the HR-PMO manager’s role, including recruitment, performance management, talent development, and digital transformation management in projects, in order to understand their contribution to effective human resource management in the PMO, which is crucial for the implementation of public projects. The research methodology includes a review of relevant literature to explore the identification of key roles and responsibilities of HR-PMO managers, as well as an analysis of the impact of digitization on these roles. The contribution of the paper lies in a better understanding of the role of HR-PMO managers in the public sector and how digitization shapes these roles, providing practical guidelines for improving human resource management in PMOs, as well as identifying best practices for efficient human resource management in this unit.
