Abstract
In recent years, on a global level, organizations have been working to introduce digitization into all business processes. One of the goals is the transformation of public administration through the digitization of geospatial data. The paper gives an overview of spatial-urban planning procedures, as a segment of digitization of geospatial data. The methodology applied in the paper is based on research in which representatives of local self-governments and holders of public authority participated. Based on the analysis of the obtained results, various problems resulting from manual work were observed. For this reason, the concept of digitalization was proposed through the establishment of a digital platform through which data will be collected, its distribution will be carried out, and data will be visualized on a digital map. In this way, all participants who provide data for spatial and urban planning procedures will communicate electronically, all data will be digital, transparent and a more efficient work process will be enabled. Given that everything starts with geospatial data, the presented model can be moved to other areas of business, networked with other data and provide a more complete model of public administration.
