Abstract
The aim of this paper is to analyze the significance of collective intelligence and interdisciplinary approaches in the management of cultural projects, focusing on identifying key challenges and opportunities arising from the collaboration of various stakeholders, experts and participants of the project. The complexity of contemporary cultural projects requires the integration of diverse knowledge, skills, and perspectives, which is achieved through the synergy of collective intelligence and interdisciplinary work. The research is based on qualitative literature analysis, case studies from practice in Serbia and world. Special attention is given to communication, coordination, and organizational culture, as well as factors that encourage or limit collective intelligence in cultural projects. The conclusions indicate that the application of collective intelligence and interdisciplinary approaches significantly contributes to the innovativeness, resilience, and sustainability of cultural projects. The combination of different expertise enables creative solutions and more efficient risk management while increasing motivation and engagement of team members. However, challenges such as differences in professional languages, values, and organizational cultures can hinder collaboration and decision-making. The implications of the research suggest the need to strengthen institutional support for interdisciplinary teams in terms of funding these initiatives and understanding the teams behind them, develop soft skills in communication and approaches that are suitable, and implement digital collaboration tools. These measures can improve management processes, enhance the social relevance and sustainability of cultural projects, and contribute to the development of an innovative and inclusive cultural scene in Serbia.
