Abstract
The implementation of complex investment projects in the modern business environment requires the engagement of interdisciplinary teams and the integration of knowledge from various fields. This paper analyzes the role of the interdisciplinary approach within the context of strategic management through a case study of the construction of a coal beneficiation plant at the Gacko open-pit mine. The project is viewed as part of a broader strategic framework aimed at increasing energy efficiency, improving ecological performance, and ensuring long-term sustainability. By examining technical, financial, legal, ecological, and organizational aspects, the paper highlights how coordinated collaboration among different fields contributes to better project execution and the achievement of strategic goals. The research findings confirm the significance of interdisciplinarity as a key success factor in complex investment endeavors and its contribution to the strategic transformation of the organization.
